Revision Rhinoplasty

When success is achieved in aesthetic operations, no revision or correction is required. For this reason, it is extremely important to be careful at every stage of the process. Revision means ‘reconstruction’, ‘correction’ in the medical language and in all other branches of science.

If you have had one or more nose surgeries before, but the shape of your nose bothers you, if your nasal congestion hasn’t improved or gotten worse, you don’t need to despair. Because with the choice of a well-trained surgeon who has adopted the concept of structural rhinoplasty and has a strong artistic side, your nose can be corrected both aesthetically and functionally.

Today, even structurally bad noses can be brought closer to the ideal level after the developments in facial plastic surgery and aesthetic nose surgeries. A point noted by many of my patients is that their noses are uglier than their old noses after an unsuccessfull surgery. The reason for this is the deterioration of the balance of the nose within itself, as a result of excessive removal of bone and cartilage tissues during surgery or half-done and poorly done surgeries.
Each patient requiring revision nose surgery may have very different and unique deformities. It is necessary to deal with these patients with a personalized approach, and the operation plan should be made individually according to the patient’s complaints.

The most important point in revision nose surgeries is to bring the nose, which has deviated from its naturalness aesthetically and functionally, to its natural appearance and function as much as possible.

For this, I do a full aesthetic analysis by taking photos of my patients from all sides, and I analyze the nose completely from the inside and outside. Thus, I identify problems and plan solutions by working on photographs over and over again, before performing the surgery.

You do not need to be unhappy, hopeless, or afraid after an unsuccessful nose surgery.

Your nose may be very small, collapsed, shifted to the right or left, the tip may be crooked, a part of your pre-operative nasal hump may be puffy and point towards the tip of your nose, you may have nasal congestion, and you may be experiencing shortness of breath during your sleep at night. And you may have other complaints like this. Or you may not like the shape of your nose after the operation, but you may not be able to name it.

In Which Situations Is Revision Rhinoplasty Preferred?

  • When there are situations such as collapse or bending of the tip of the nose.
  • Rhinoplasty revision is performed when the nose is not functional.
  • If there is a problem in breathing, revision process is definitely performed.

If the nose appears larger or worse than it is, nose correction is performed.
