Is there a lot of pain after nose aesthetics (rhinoplasty) surgery?
Thanks to modern surgical techniques and special anesthesia methods applied during the operation, pain is minimal, contrary to popular belief. The vast majority of our patients describe the process as a “mild feeling of fullness.” The comfort level is quite high due to the minimal tissue damage with the preservation techniques applied by Dr. Ergün Kürün.
Will my nose tip drop after surgery?
No. Unlike traditional methods, with the advanced suturing and cartilage support techniques used by Dr. Kürün (Structural and Preservation approaches), the nasal tip mechanism is built robustly. This ensures the nose maintains its form for life while preserving its natural flexibility, without experiencing drooping over time.
Will it hurt when the splints are removed?
We use air-channeled, non-adhesive medical silicone splints, which have replaced old-style fabric tampons. These new-generation devices allow you to breathe and do not adhere to the mucous membrane when removed, so you will not feel any pain or discomfort. The removal process is quite effortless, lasting only seconds.
When can I return to my work and social life after surgery?
The healing rate is quite high in operations performed with preservation techniques. Generally, the protective splints on the nose are removed on the 7th day after surgery. After this stage, you can comfortably return to your social life and desk work with light makeup. Most of the edema around the eyes disappears during this period.
Will the nose shape I want suit my face?
Every nose must be harmonious with the characteristic features of that face (jaw structure, forehead angle, lip distance).
